  1. Updating to HourWorldｪ 2.0 from Previous Versions
  2.  
  3. HourWorldｪ 2.0 uses a registration key system to enable full features. This is a change from 
  4. previous versions, and a change from the registration system used in beta versions of 2.0.
  5.  
  6. This new system saves your registration and preferences information in a file called
  7. "HourWorldｪ Prefs" in the preferences folder inside your system folder.  As long as this
  8. preferences file remains intact, updating to a new version is just a matter of downloading
  9. the new version and running it.

  11. If you are updating from a version of HourWorldｪ prior to ver. 2.00, you will need to
  12. obtain a registration key.  Contact Paul Software Engineering via email at

  16. Once you have registered HourWorldｪ 2.0, you may wish to protect your registration info
  17. against a hard drive failure or other accident by making a copy of the "HourWorldｪ Prefs"
  18. file and saving it to a backup location.  Alternatively, keep a copy of our email, invoice or
  19. receipt with your registration key information.

  21. If your "HourWorldｪ Prefs" file is lost or damaged, HourWorldｪ 2.0 will revert to running 
  22. as the feature-limited HourWorldｪ Lite.  While we are happy to email replacement keys free 
  23. of charge in case of hard drive failures or other accidents, we recommend making a backup of 
  24. the preferences file or our message to you with the registration key.
